Role: VP Sales
Reports to: CEO and ATV Board.
Bluebox Optics is based in Blackwood near Cardiff UK.

The recruitment of a VP Sales at Bluebox Optics is seen as a key position for someone to shape and build Bluebox Optics with the support of the parent company Advanced Technology Ventures. It’s an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a name for themselves, grow with the company building a team of staff and see a commensurate reward for doing so.
The VP Sales role will be to build business by developing new customers globally both direct and through distribution. It will include customer interaction, marketing, market research and development of new products. Bluebox Optics is a Bio-Life science focussed company and we are keen to consider candidates with experience in this market.
BBO is selling to end users through distribution channels, this will include some OEM and reseller customers as they are found by the distributors. Distribution channels should be clearly supported and experience of managing distribution / channel partners will be an advantage.
There will also be significant opportunity for direct sales to key OEMs and some end users where distribution is not present.
The role of the VP Sales will be to work with the resources available to promote the niji as required. The VP Sales should work with the distribution channels to use their marketing resource. A good knowledge of marketing would be a great advantage.
The ATV group expects the BBO VP Sales remuneration will grow with the success of BBO along with a profit bonus
Research and design
The VP Sales will be responsible for researching the requirements of the new generation of devices, this will be conducted by discussion with relevant key option leaders, users, OEMs, evaluating the competitive landscape, costing models and manufacturer capability etc. This should be combined to make a proposal to the board citing the proposed device, spec, costing model, forecast and route to market.
